Privacy Policy for Tetsuincho Digital

The Yomiuri Shimbun, Osaka ; collectively, “The company” or “we” or “us” or “our”, considers it our natural responsibility to manage personal data, including personal information, in a strict and appropriate manner. This Privacy Policy applies to the handling of personal information of users who become the members of the "Tetsuincho Digital" service provided by the Company, (collectively, "Members"). We will appropriately manage and process such personal information in accordance with the "Yomiuri Shimbun Personal Information Protection Policy" (collectively, "Protection Policy") , the "Yomiuri Shimbun Group Privacy Policy Regarding Shared Usage" (collectively, "Shared Usage Policy") and the "Data Use and Collection".

When a user becomes a member of Tetsuincho Digital, the Company obtains personal information such as the member's name, date of birth, gender, address (down to the prefecture), and e-mail address. The use and management of the acquired personal information will be handled appropriately in accordance with the protection policy, Shared Usage Policy, and terms of use.
In addition to the purposes stated in "3. Purposes of Use" of the Protection Policy, the Company will use members' personal information appropriately for the operation of the service, including payment for NFT purchases. Credit card numbers entered by members for payment of NFT purchases are stored by the payment processing company to which the Company outsources its services. When a member enters the number, the credit card information does not pass through our system. We select a payment agency that complies with the PCI DSS security standard.
In order to achieve the purpose of use described in Paragraph 2, we may share the personal information of members with the member railroad companies of SEMI－PUBLIC SECTOR RAILWAY COMAPANY COUNCIL participating in the "Tetsushincho Digital" service, in addition to the companies listed in the Shared Usage Policy. The personal information to be shared is the member's name, date of birth, gender, address (down to the prefecture), and e-mail address.

In order to achieve the purposes of use described in Paragraph 2, the Company may entrust the handling of members' personal information to a partner company, etc. In such cases, the Company will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over the contractor as described in "6 .About　entrustment" of the Protection Policy.
We may provide third-party ad-serving companies, including Google and Yahoo! Japan, with personal information in our possession, irreversibly converted into data that does not identify you, and the third-party ad-serving companies may serve ads based on the results of matching. The third-party ad-serving service providers will not use such information for any purpose other than ad-serving.
We may revise this Privacy Policy, in whole or in part, from time to time. Any significant changes will be notified in an easy-to-understand manner on Tetsuincho Digital application.
Requests for disclosure, suspension of use, deletion, etc. of members' personal information held by the Company will be handled appropriately in accordance with the provisions of the law, as described in "11.
